Some more work done on the ship. The first shot is one of the mast platforms instead of a round lump for the supports they have been thinned down. The others are the ford mast and the boat davits.

Thank you Kiteman but this will make you smile.  Rails added to hull side with just some small spots of glue -- decided to put the model onto its side to add some more superglue to fasten the rails all the way along the hull. As you can see squeezed the bottle a little hard and it ran all over the deck -- lots of nautical language. Now another job to try and remove this - at least Haddock is not about to shout at me.
Funnels tapped and black topping added.
Searchlights drilled out on the first 2 in the last photo -- they will then be painted and glass glue added. Second set on the last photo just to show how they look without any work on them

I must agree with Zak, never apply superglue from the bottle, it can be rather unforgiving if you get it wrong.

Thank you all for the advice - a little bit late but welcome anyway. The things you do when you are rushing and tired.
I haven't been moderated by Kevin at all - not like some other people !!!!!!

That's cos I like you............!

I've done the direct Superglue thingy myself and have it go wrong. Only thing is I didn't admit to it, so good on yer son!
I'm sure a man of your skills will rectify the problem.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

I always put a blob of superglue on some double sided tape(the non sticky surface) and apply with the eye of a cut off needle.

A start made on the pipes running up the outside of the funnels. -- when painted and all 4 finished they will be attached to the funnels 1 each for ford and middle and 2 on the aft funnel.
