Hi All,
Well a little more done. Firstly I cleaned up the wonky scribing on some panel lines. I used some superglue 'painted' over the offending area, then sanded this back until smooth and matching the airframe. Then I used some Dymo tape cut into short lengths, aligned the edge with the panel line to be reinstated and burnished it down. Then I took a new scalpel blade and run it lightly along the line I wanted to rescribe. This helped provide a guide for the scribing tool which was drawn along the Dymo tape until it matched the existing panel lines. Remove the Dymo tape, and paint thin Tamiya liquid glue along the line to remove any swarf. Final polish with 1200 grade and done.
I then airbrushed the areas with the Ghost Grey I used before. The panel lines are there, but are not prominent at moment as there is no wash in these places at moment.
Next, I masked the model undersides using a mix of Tamiya Tape, Tamiya flexible white tape, paper, and a poly food bag over the tail/rear fuselage. I painted the underside of the main wing, fuselage, planing bottom in a very dark green, in this case IJN Green by Tamiya.
Tape then removed to reveal nice crisp finish, happy days.
Next the engine inlet warning edges, and nose radome.
