getting a bit tied up with the tracks on my light tank, so need a bit of a rest from it.
I'm going to start this 1/35 Scale Tamiya M51 Israeli Sherman, it might even be the start of an Israeli theme.
Anyway this is the box lid.

A new line for you Bob -- just enjoy
-
Valley of Tears is inspiring you?
-
Should be good.
-
Yes it is.

Hi Bob,
I like the idea of an Israeli Sherman, up-gunned and improved.
Now about that backdrop photo.......you use in the finished article. Have you booked a holiday over there??
Watching with interest.

One day Kevin.

Actually start the Sherman yesterday.
It's standard Tamiya very good molds and generally falls together, the lower hull comes in various parts but is strong once all connected.
The wheels need a bit more cleaning up than usual.
This is it so far.

Hi Bob,
Another nice tank model from the workshop underway.
Will be an interesting build, and possible start of a new theme.

A good start Bob. Ready for Wednesday's meeting?
-
A bit slow with this one, it's not the kit just me must be old age, but here is a bit more progress. the suspension and wheels painted just for ease.
-
This Sherman is now coming along nicely. Most of the hull and turret is finished, the main gun barrel comes in two halves always more difficult to make the seam disappear.
-
That's a fair sized gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
This is going "great guns" Bob! Thanks to seeing some of your builds, I'm thinking of venturing into 1/35 scale.
-
What size gun did it use Bob? 120mm?
-
The gun was a slightly shortened French 105mm designed for the AMX-30 main battle tank with a big muzzle brake, yet to be fitted. Chris.
-
It looks a fearsome beast nonetheless....!!

A bit more on this one, needs the body painting, Decaling and weathering.
Tools still need to be painted and attached, but nearly there.
-
Wow Bob,
That is one heck of a gun!
I really like the weathering of the running gear that you have done so far.
Will it be ready for the next club meeting.

Looking good Bob

I agree with Kev, nice looking running gear.
-
Very nice Bob.
-
Nearly finished.
-
Straight out of the factory?
Any weathering?
-
A little, it looks better than in the photo.

It looks very nice indeed.
-
Looks really impressive Bob.
Will it have some crew arranged around it when displayed?

This one is finished as well. A great kit as usual with Tamiya.
-
Looks very realistic Bob.
It looks realistic against that backdrop....
Not a Sherman falling off the cliff in sight....

Great model.
-
With the background photo and a quality model - not sure if it is a model or the real thing.
-
Exquisite model Bob.
-
Not on this one Kevin. Thanks for the comments everyone.
