This is a complete change of direction for me, I just fancied trying something different.
Have a guess.
I will change the title if you get close.
Here is a clue, it may appeal to Andy and Martin?
-
A sci-fi fighter taking on the zombies ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
You are thinking along the right lines, but no zombies involved as yet.

What about the person making the model - hohohhoho

Takes one to know one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
HoHoHo 2 of a kind - will say no more ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Some painting started on the pilot/driver/operator.
Definitely science fiction, possibly post-apocalyptic, a few clues there, the next photos may give the game away, but you will just have to wait.
-
Waiting with anticipation
-
More work.
-
Hi Zak,
Looking good.
Anything to do with the Terminator films?
Bigkev
-
This may help, a Few more pictures.
Perhaps if I tell you the manufacturer it would help, probably the scale as well.
This is 1:20 scale.
-
Hi Zak,
At the moment, not a clue.
Bigkev
Obviously something Sci-Fi............
-
Produced by Hasegawa and some by Nitto way back, this is a Hasegawa offering.
Nice moulding, good plastic and clean.
-
It is really Bob's fault; he gave me a load of Airfix Magazines to look at and a model of this genre was included in one, so I thought I would give it a go.
This is the MK44 Ammoknight.
-
Welcome to the "Dark Dark Dark Side" - hohohoho
-
My side is quite dark, but there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
This science fiction world was created in the 1980's and Nitto produced quite a number of models, it is all about armoured suits and so on.
Models are also produced for this genre in other scales than 1:20.
I have decided to go freelance with this and not stick strictly with the genre.
-
The purists will be after you for that comment - hohohoho
-
Very different Dave.
-
More progress.
Painting and assembling.
-
Just got these for Christmas - so after the other models are finished, will make a start ( that is if I can wait that long) on these two and set them on your MK44 Ammoknight -- hohohoho
Yours is looking great at the moment, will this be a new range or just a one off for you ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Mine is Bigger!
-
I will make NO REPLY to that - hohohoh - :'( :'( :'( :'(

I have always been a fan of science fiction and this range of kits is really good, there will be more.
They always seem to be finished with severe weathering, I am not sure if mine will be or not, time will tell.
I quite like an almost out of the workshop/factory look.
-
Looking forward to the next 50 or 60 models ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sarcasm, my favourite sort of humour.
-
Ho Ho Ho
-
Arms and hands assembled together with the weapon.
-
When the hood was down it reminded me of a Minion, Are you painting it yellow? MSea would, 'nuff said!!!!
-
Looking good and different.
-
All transfers applied. just a coat of varnish to finish off.
I am still undecided about the weathering.
-
Looks very good.

Be subtle.
Haddock.
-
I am thinking, no weathering, factory fresh.
-
You could do it in a workshop with the opened packaging in the corner - just a thought ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

It's a thought.
But I am now doing battle with one of the original Nitto models from the 1980's - nowhere as nice as the Hasegawa one.
Quite strange plastic.
There is a whole history/ genre behind these models and their evolution.
-
Yes a full history - have read about some in the Fantasy Figures Magazine - you will be doing Gundam next ::) ::) ::) ::)

I think that may be a step too far.
-
They are tooooo bright for me - hohohhoho
-
Being innocent I had to look Gundam up, so it's like Manga but militarised eh?
-
Corect Chris
-
This is form tomorrow at the Modelling/Play Day!
-
Managed the arms legs and the head and shoulders on the modelling day.
-
Plenty done. More than me.
-
More progress, the arms and legs are held on with poly caps and can easily be removed.
-
Of course, he does have a mate.
This is the Racoon, a sort of scout version.
-
Looking great Zak - still think they would be best in a diorama - hohohohhohoho
-
Time for that yet, they didn't hunt zombies though!
-
Bet they did ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Looking good Dave.
-
The weathering looks good.
-
This will be the next one.
1:20 scale Nitto marketed under SF3D original banner.
Fledermaus (Panzer Kampf 49 Jagd Flugzeug40 (S)
-
Here is what you get in the box.
-
The figure, in parts and assembled.
Strange pose?
-
The cockpit/interior.
Pilot and instrument panel not stuck in place yet.
The interior is very helicopter-ish.
I believe the original modeller use many helicopter parts in making the originals.
-
Interior detail painting, decals from the spares box.
-
Building at quite a rate of knots. Looks good.
-
continued progress on this cold and miserable day.
Even some bits of brass.
-
Looking great - just keep an eye out for the zombies - hohohhoho 8) 8) 8)
-
Is the pilot based on MSea and his thumb? Plenty to keep you occupied there, hope it doesn't drive you 'batty' (sic.).
-
Looking good.
-
This is the one I started on the modelling day, just finished it.
-
Nothing stuck yet.
I am not happy with the large intakes, you can see inside to nothing, some thought needed here before gluing everything together.
Most models I can see on t'web simply leave the hole.
-
Good so far though.
-
I have got some mesh, from Croppers, Mighty Lancer did not have any.
-
I tried the mesh in place and it just does not look right.
Meanwhile I decided to cut the canopy in half and have it open so the piloy could be easily seen.
Some careful cutting required.
-
Unconvinced about this.
-
Something finer?
-
Yes definitely finer - but looking good other than the mesh
-
None finer available in Bridlington I am afraid.
-
I have some etched brass mesh that was for the safety nets on USS Langley, probably too fine, I'll bring it along.
Haddock.

Thanks Tony, but having spoken on the phone, too late, you have disposed of it!
-
Painting in progress.
-
Why not just make FOD guards for the intakes? Flat sheets, red paint simples!!!!
-

That is certainly a possibility, thanks Chris for the idea.
-
More sploshing of paint.
-
Paintwork looks good.
-
Paintwork looks good.
Thanks Chris.
-
This was going to be my competition entry for the December meeting- the annual competition, presumably it will now be in January?
This is a 1/20 Hasegawa kit, mainly for Lunar use, designated "Camel".
-
Hi Zak,
Looks really good, you have conquered a new genre.
Bigkev
-
Excellent Dave. Definitely a contender.
-
Back to the Fledermaus.
Underside and thrusters under construction.
-
Looks good.
Bob c
-
Camel is GREAT but seems to be missing its humps - hohohho
-
Busy painting the tanks and other exterior details.
-
I have some fine mesh I use on the Cromwell exhaust if it?s any use.

Could be useful, thanks Bob.
-
Looking good Dave.
-
Aerials(??) and other unknown bits added, decals next.
-
Nice.
-
Just about finished, a bit of tidying up to do.
-
Looks great
-
Excellent Dave. It looks like a big angry wasp.
-
Yes I see how you have come to that - but is it the model or Zak that looks like a wasp ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Careful gents or I might just buzz off!
-
As long as you don't sting anybody - hohohhoho
-
Yes I see how you have come to that - but is it the model or Zak that looks like a wasp ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
The model of course.
-
A couple of 1:20 figures under construction.
-
Working on a diorama to display these models.
-
Should be interesting.
-
More.
-
Looking GREAT - I always like models in a diorama
-

Me too.
-
It looks like it is going to be a good diorama.
-
More progress.
-
Individual bricks again?
-
Individual bricks again?
Of course!
-
More progress, I think!
-
Great - the wall and landing pad bring it all together
-
A great little diorama, well done.
-
I thought it might work with the Lunar lander, but it is a bit large.
The remote gun was made from a ping pong ball I picked up at Cass Hall from the floor at our last Play Day.
Now I need to add lots of little bits and pieces.
-
Excellent diorama Dave.
-
Nicely portrayed
Bigkev
-
Here are all the Armoured suits I have built so far, the one on the left is Hasegawa, the other two Nitto.
-
Zaks New |Army - who will you be invading first ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
A nice collection
-
Zaks New |Army - who will you be invading first ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
Martin?
-
A couple of figures in place.
-
Looks like it's set in a corner of Fort Paull.
-
There'snot enough moss, damp or rust for Fort Paull, lol!!!!
-
Back to some Sci Fi.
A half completed model, that was on the shelf waiting for completion,
This is a robot, KROTE (Panzer Aufkalarug T.W-47) from the M.A.K universe.
Produced by Nitto and again 1:20 scale.
-
All sub assemblies now complete, awaiting undercoat and then paint.
The original models were made from kit parts, you can almost see a V motorcycle engine at the rear, tank guns and turrets.
-
Looks good detail.
-
Undercoated.
-
Looks great just with the primer, should be even better when painted.
-
Looking great
-
Looks good.
