Our recent model show was instrumental in introducing a new range of high quality, precision cut card models from Zarkov models in Sophia, Bulgaria. We are hopeful this is the beginning of something new and we can welcome Zarkov as exhibitors at future events here in Driffield?
I've always known about these models but didn't know of their fast growing popularity of indeed the detail and realism of the completed model. I have enclosed a photo-line here which demonstrates this. With the ever-increasing cost of plastic models, these large scale aircraft, ships, military vehicles etc., at reasonable prices must have a great future
If anyone fancies building a BF.109 (Luftwaffe Markings) please contact me directly.

When have you arranged for them to be exhibitors?
As a member of the steering group I am certainly not aware of this.

Forgive my phrasing oh tetchy one! I should've said 'we might welcome' etc etc.
-
I didn't see them. Where were they?
-
Oh I wish I'd never started this post! They were NOT there exhibiting - but a company that makes them donated one as a prize and has 'expressed an interest' in exhibiting at our show!! SORRY for all this confusion! I think I'll leave posting to others from now on!!

Aaaaah, that would explain it. You have to admit, that first sentence, "Our recent model show was instrumental in introducing a new range of high quality, precision cut card models from Zarkov models in Sophia, Bulgaria." did suggest they had a table there. I was wondering why I hadn't recall of their product as Oli, our German ex-member also prints and builds card models and would have hoped to remember something like that to tell him about. As it happens I don't need to dial "0049......." tonight now and can instead cut and blanche some runner beans.

I have just looked up tetchy in the dictionary, many thanks for the complement.

No it is not Origami, and it is not original either- Card models have been out there for years with many firms springing up and producing the goods that can be simply purchased on line, downloaded, printed out in the comfort of your model room then stuck together with UHU. Shouöld you wish to more about Card modelling then contact Oli ...he is a Club member and has been producing all sorts for years. Check out some of his posts on this Website Folks!!!
