Oh well just a thought.
I reckon You and Haddock will fathom it out.
Have you contacted the manufacturer and asked them?

Can't be of much help. It looks as though the " datum " could be the line you would get if you sat the wing on a flat surface. Over the years, I developed a deep hatred for draftsmen who persisted in doing this sort of thing then sneered at you when you asked " what the bluddy 'ell is this supposed to mean". My drawings of course were superb.
Haddock.

mine too, I always tried to bear the end user in mind when designing or draughting anything. Unfortunately that is not always the case with other designers.

so after checking that the plan was accurate and re-draughting a few lines on it, I took the wing underside as a datum and transfered the down wash angle relative to this datum and came up with a 2 degree down wash from there. Then I build a jig that would position the motor mounts relative to the wing underside and at the same time hold them parallel to the fuselage centre line whilst the glue dried. It worked well and now I have my motor mounts correctly positioned on the wing structure, all the ducks in a row, one may say.

Thought it about time to update you all on the progress on the beast. Between mystery models and all sorts, I have managed to get a bit more done.

I especially like the tactical blurring of the swastikas on the tail  ;)
That's looking very nice indeed, I do like the paint job too!
