Decided to have a go at some of these models that I have seen in the magazines several times.
Chose "Anya & Laika" and a second one ""Sniper Stalker" - have decide to start with the first one (see photo of the parts delivered) and will place this in a post apocalypse scene - so on with the cleaning up of the first figure and her dog :) :) :)
-
Figure cleaned up and both arms added, the dog has also been cleaned up and its breathing tubes added
-
Nice detail on the figure.
-
Another genre for you Martin.
-
Hi Msea,
Looks like a different subject to get the Msea treatment!
Bigkev
-
Apocolypse without butchering something, that's a first!! You should change the dog's name to Palya, Russian for bullet, due to it's bullet shaped head.
-
Thanks Chris for idea about the dog - thought about "oxpaha" or "yk" that's the okhrana or cheka , the pre and post 1917 secret service to you - think I would need them to keep you all towing the line - hohohho
-
Coat of gloss black on the visors before coating with Green Stuff Worlds colourshift metals
-
Base colour on dog and harness - next job dogs ears and feet and shading on the bags added to the harness.
-
Going to look ........Pawfect!
Bigkev
-
Looking good. Almost zombies!
-
Thanks - have been wobbly again today so no model making but have been pondering what to do with the base.
Decided to do a small damaged corner wall with the figures on one side and lots of muck and broken brick all around, with a small section of grass with the very pretty flower (see photo) in the center of the grass and could use the title of "Mother Nature starts again" BUT its me so that idea seemed much toooooo niceeeeee - so will replace the grass and flower by something else - hint it could be called Audrey 2 -- any ideas ?
-
Not a Little Shop of Horrors is it?
-
Ten out of ten to that man - hohohhoho - I could not do a sweet flower, much better to do a scratch built horror plant, well that's the plan at the moment.
-
Work started on the base
-
Some bits and bobs rusted up before adding to the base - do you recognize any of them Haddock - hohohho
-
Aha, yes.
Haddock.
-
All bricks hand made?
-
Yes by own fair hand
-
There's no end to your talents.
-
Different colours added to the wall and then a coat of smoke added to tone it all down.
-
Very talented, whether his wife agrees is another matter.....
Bigkev
-
Very colourful Martin.
-
Well it doesn't look like it but that is base coat 150 - stipple of 148 - wear area of 139 - highlights 36 - and finally a wash of 181 to unify all shades - we try our best :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
Dog painted

-
Thank you (I think - hohhoho) but is all the extra work a large improvement over the base brown ?
To me yes, but I work at a slow pace and the extra time does not matter - but how do you get the good results and still work at the rate you do >:( >:( >:(
-
Working on the base - the grass area for Audrey 3 to sit in - then more bricks and brick dust to be added to the rest of the area - and some rubbish just for Chris - hohohoho
-
Audrey's bits and bobs and then under construction - now how do I make it look like Zak - hohohhoho
-
Audrey's bits and bobs and then under construction - now how do I make it look like Zak - hohohhoho
Make sure it looks grumpy!
-
Easier said than done ::) ::) ::)
-
A nice coat of paint to make Zak/Audrey look ready for a night out - hohhohoho
-
Some crushed brick added to the base - will let it dry and go solid then add some more rubbish and brick dust.
-
Will it become a rose between 2 thorns? (The flower that is!)
Nice rubble and detritus!
-
Excellent Martin. I like the base you've done and the dog.
-
Zak/Audrey now has her tentacles added - when solid will paint them several shades of green.
Then its on with the figure now should she have yellow or blue of green oilskins :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ 5hink I shall ask "she who must be obeyed" ::) ::)
-
Certainly different Msea.
-
Thanks - Audrey now painted and the dog added to the base.
-
He will have to be careful about cocking his leg up with that carnivorous looking plant on the prowl!
-
I will say NOTHING to that comment - hohohohho
-
Watered down PVA and brick dust added - when dry will shake off the excess and see how it looks.
-
Excellent Martin. Up to your usual outlandish standard.
-
The PVA glue and dust have blended things together wonderfully.
-
Base colours added to the figure - when dry will start on the shading of all bits
-
Looking good.
-
I used to look like that when working on Fylingdales Moor in the winter, lol!!!!!
-
No comment Chris - hohoho
Shading done on the oilskins , next job work on the leather then a Flory wash
-
Next base made and coated with polyfiller, on the bottom and back - when dry will scribe the back wall as bricks.

Posters and graffiti added to the back wall

I can't see anything about Putin being a 'Winker' (to paraphrase from Ivor Biggun, and yes I do have the album!!!)
-
Vey apt.
-
A coat of chipping and a top coat of blue - when dry will start to remove some of the top coat
-
Paint removed from staging and trial run with it in place
-
Like the rusting effect.
-
Just started
-
Resin bolts added to the back beam to show it fastened to the wall. Also static grass added to the base - next job rust up the staging and then fasten it down and add the bricks. rubbish and newspapers to the base
-
Nice looking grass.
Well done!
-
Thanks but the machine did it all
-
Even so, it looks good.
You must be shaking it just right.
-
More rusting on the staging and it has now been fastened in place.
-
It looks very effective.
-
Rusted and worn to perfection........
-
Excellent rusting and posters Martin.

I thought it was Haddock who thought my bits of models reminded him of food :( :( :(
Mattress primed and a coat of pale sand - next job dirty it up, so it fits with the rest of the model.

I thought the orange looked quite good.
