Got these to do at the last playday but never got round to starting them - so its the job for playday12.
Easy job to remove the base from each figure and drill a hole for a wire support - can do lots of chatting while this is being done. Base and rock made with Plaster of Paris and will add static grass when dry. Before ChrisW tells me that the Immortals had a total number of 10,000 men and that I have only got 42 figures - this model is to try and improve my painting skills, Howard is going to check every face to make sure I don't get the eyes wrong - hohhoho good luck with that one Howard.
-
See you Sunday, good luck with the eyes!
-
Looking forward to seeing the eyes.
-
Eye Eye - hohohho
Rock painted and static grass added then black frame surround for the model
-
Will it be the 'eye'ds of Februrary'?

Base removed and holes drilled during playday then glued the wires in this morning

If it was you it would be finished by lunch today - think it will take me a LOT longer
-
You'll do it Martin. Ready for the next meeting?

Shields painted and also the hands and face on the figures

You're getting as quick as Dave.

More historical model making.
-
More blocking in with base colour - lots and lots of belts etc to do next - what idiot decided to do ALL 42 figures - oh yes it was me - hohohhoho
-
Colourful!
-
More work done on all the figures - you think you have done all the bits and then you find one you have missed, then another bit and then another bit, etc :( :( :( :( :( :(
-
Impressive stuff.
-
All figures now have a Flory wash - so its coffee time and then remove some of the wash.
-
First 2 figures added - only another 40 to clean and glue down - need more coffeeeeeeee
-
Nice detail on such small figures.
-
Impressive detail Martin.
-
Thanks for the comments - rest of the immortals now added - a little bit of touching up to do on the bits that have flaked off, don't you just hate cameras they show every little fault.
-
No hiding, the camera never lies!
-
Its a swine, thought I had finished for the day - no such luck >:( >:( >:( >:(
-
Is the pointing figure Neil telling Martin Piper to be quiet? Great paintwork throughout, well done.
-
Excellent detail Martin. I wish my romans could be that good.
-
It was nice to see them in the flesh, so to speak, they looked great.
-
Thank you all for the comments - main thing was I had FUN making them
