This is going to bean AFV Club 1/35 Scimitar and Scorpion Miniatures/HK Creation backdate parts to build a falklands war Scimitar.
-
Plenty of changes then?
-
It will keep you happy for a day or so
-
You're a glutton for punishment, but I'm sure it'll look good.

So far I've fitted the early suspension, cut the kits track guard which is to thick and cut out the transmission cover ready for the early bolted type. The bolted transmission cover is in now in place and the new photo etch track guard is trapped between the upper and lower hull. some pictures to explain it better.

One more.
-
A labour of love.

Hi Bob,
Great stuff, like the know how exhibited by someone who knows his 'stuff'.
Watching with interest.

Progressing well Bob.

Good work Bob. I'm looking forward to seeing the base you put this one on.
-
Done a bit more, also bought a set of Friulmodel early Scimitar tracks, so might take sometime to finish.
-
Wow Bob!,
That really looks like it is coming together.
Keep at, and can I request a picture with the finished said model with some 'Penguins'.
Cheers, and Admiration.

At least they won't melt in the Falklands climate.
-
Looking really good Bob. It'll be great to see it complete.
-
Keep at it Bob.
Don't take any notice of our attempts at humour.
It will be another masterpiece from 'Bob'

Once again I've done a bit more, I made a mistake putting the upper and lower hull together so could not fit the Friulmodel tracks over the drive sprocket, I used the kit one's which are not so bad, that must be an excuse to make another early version.

Looks good Bob. Another one in the offing then?
-
The worm keeps falling off, I don’t really want to glue it on because it was removed soon after they landed.

What was it Bob? Some form of exhaust?

I wondered if it was an air intake?
-
It was a transmission breather that was removed shorty after landing. I’ve warmed it up to try to bend it to fit better but it’s broken three times already. I don’t want to glue it but it might come to that. (It’s resin).

Yes, resin is a bit brittle.
-
No doubt you'll show it who's boss!!
-
no it was the boss I've had to glue it in place.
