A trip out to York yesterday and picked up the set of MiniArt rail wheels - asked about cost of and truck last time and decided that being a good Yorkshireman would get the wheels and make my own, never go down the easy route - hohhohoho.
Now its looking on line for size and types of trucks and wagons - have wheels to make 6 wagons, all for ?10 and you get the springs as well, just the body, buffers and hooks to make

Wheels sorted out I think - thanks Zak for the info.
Change of plan for the ships on this second section of Andy's long dock - it was going to be a 1960 American zippo gunboat but have decided to change it to 1946/7/8 French gunboats - they used anything they could get there hands on for boats and weapons so this will give me more lee way and the rivet counters can't say "its wrong" it should have 7 bolt holes not 6

You are really getting on with this.
On the right track, wheelie good, will it be plain sailing?

Gunboat now primed and only about 75,367 blemishes to fill and smooth
The dock frame has now been made for the second of Andy's long dock models - front section to be plastered before adding the plastic dock top, with the railway lines included and then adding the block lines into the plaster

Ex-poly added to the front of the dock, when solid will add a coat of polyfiller to then scribe into large solid blocks.
The last photo is NOT cheese - when cut hope they will turn into portholes

A coat of polyfiller/paint/glue added to the front and top of the ex-poly - now to let it dry and then clean up and scribe the blocks into it

Great work so far. Pity you didn't put out a request for the wagon wheels I have a load in my stash as years ago I started to make an armoured train before the idea went on (and still is on) hold. So if anybody else needs them you know where to ask.
