Here's a base in progress, I'm making  two identical ones.
Went up to what used to be Brid Timber on North-back Lane to see what was available, a very kind chap gave me a lump of 6mm MDF, refused to accept any cash, there's enough for another six bases this size. The square bits came from Croppers, 3mm square and 9.5mm square,it's tree wood.
They're stuck together with "sticks like sh*t"(courtesy of my next door neighbour) honest, that's what it says on the tube, it also says"trade only" so it must contain Kryptonite or summat. This must be the first bit of unsupervised joinery I have done since I made a magazine rack at school, probably 60 years ago.

There is no end to your skills.
You'll be calling yourself a carpenter next.

Is there any other wood other than "tree wood"?

Judging by some of the plonkers that I have had to deal with in my working life, there must be "brain wood" as well!. Some were that wooden it was unbelievable.

I'm pleased it was fer nowt, it goes against the grain to spend cash without good reason.
