hi everyone, sorry to come across as a moaner (July 22, 2010, 09:40:14 PM) quote
hi everyone, sorry to come across as a moaner but yet again this site has frustrated me to the point of not bothering to do what i origionally intented.i read earlier on the blog section a comment by someone that there was not much going on on the model blogs and they posted some pictures.well to be honest im not that surprised theres not much on the blog i think there must only be about 4-5 members who truly no how to post something on the blog.i have just tried again and after a lot of pointless mouse clicking and head scratching have decided that life is too short and will post it on another site.what about some clear simple instructions on the site on how to leave posts and blog messages/pictures .i use the armorama site and it is far more user friendly and consequently very busy.i think the photo section of the club site is excellent but to get more members and guests using the site to its full potential i firmly believe it must be made easier for people.please believe me when i say my intent is not to hurt or offend anyone i would just like to A.use the site more myself
B.see more new people using the site.
this site is a great asset for the club but i think far more people should and probably would if it was more user friendly.
cheers...geoff

p.s i have just had a look and this is the 1st post on either forum or blog now for nearly 3 weeks by anyone.

I am afraid that I have to agree, I do not find the site as easy to use as it was.
I post pictures but do get frustrated about the lack of other posts.
I know that Mike does his best and has upgraded the site.
I think that if Mike is willing it would be useful to have a club night devoted to the website and how to use it and get the most from it.
Like you I see it as an excellent resource and feel it should be used much more than it is.

I also am a bit wary of contributing when there has been a problem with uploading photographs. I would certainly welcome Mike discussing the use of the website at a future meeting. I was talking to him at the last meeting about his spray booth and that I had built my own as they can be quite expensive. He suggested that I post some photos of my spray booth on the website but as I have said earlier if there is a problem with uploading photos I am a bit reluctant.
