Good progress with the 3.7"HAA gun over the last couple of days. The fit and alignment of the various parts is difficult as are the correct positioning of some of the smaller detail. Add to that the fragility of the small pieces makes for the challenge.

Nice Work Bill,
Look forward to seeing the finished item.
Foible's would be welcomed as light relief, but not mandatory!
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

The plan is to have it in a small diorama along with a searchlight and rangefinder, maybe a soundlocater although I think that was a rouse in the 1940 publicity to hide that fact we had radar. Hopefully with crew. I will just about get this done and the. The likes of Tamiya will announce an IM kit for 1/3rd the price and with crew etc! ‘That’s Modelling’

Just a note on  the soud locator stuff. It was actually tried some time arou d the first world war. There is in actual fact a concrete parabolic sound mirror near Spurn Point. I have a photo somewhere. (I apologise if you are already aware of this.)

Looking good Bill, the position of some parts is guess work but they generally turn out very nice.

Some time ago someone wrote they thought it was looking pretty finished, well this is where I am at now. All these pieces have to be fitted and the instructions don't make it clear quite where they all go!
At least the wheels are easy to identify!

Thank you for your kind words!
Once the 'gun' is finished I can start thinking about the 90cm Searchlight. This will have to be scratch-build as will the range/height finder.
Zak tells me there should also be a generator and truck to mount it on! It's never ending!
Then I shall have to find the crew.

Then you will have to make it work, install a carbon arc.

Today the 3.7" HAA Gun is complete.
All that remains now it to make the Searchlight, NOT forgetting to install a Carbon Arc light, Range/Height predictor and generator on the Truck and then setting them in a diorama!
In the meantime I'm going back to models from the BoB film.
