Evening All,

I have just have been part of a street 'Clap for the NHS' on my street.

Sadly, only the same people who have taken part before have joined in again, tonight. However, I must applaud all those who did show their support.
As this crisis continues to develop, it seems some people think it does not apply/affect them. Believe me it does, I have seen the dramatic changes in hospitals, my work, and the clinical routines/disciplines to be considered and observed.

People need to 'Wake Up' and realise that this is serious, it could be you or your loved one who is infected/made unwell by a very innocuous contact.

This is VERY REAL and everybody must do their best to observe the regulations.

I have a daughter who is at the very frontline, trained on ventilators, and anaesthetics' working at Scarborough Hospital with two very young children, I work for the Ambulance Service moving patients now with confirmed and suspected Covid-19. This is real, not a figment of imagination.

Please realise, that your actions or non action is fundamental to whether this outbreak is going to be controlled or not.

Please consider, what you do, where you go, who you meet, in every situation. Anything that you can do to minimise the risk is important.

Finally, on an upbeat note, the following image was left on my Ambulance whilst parked at an 'Ambulance Station'
It meant a lot to me working on the front line, pity that others think they are outside the problem.

Cheers,
Bigkev

Yes it's a pity that a lot of people do not understand how serious it is.
A personal THANK YOU to you Kevin.

Looked to be a poor turnout but lots of noise. I think some folks were hanging out of windows so were unseen from our house.

Hi All,
Good turnout down my road tonight.
Lots of clapping and banging of pots/buckets.
Also noticed that more people are also waving to each other and a feel of 'unity' and neighbourhood spirit.

Yeah, it was a bigger turnout on Cliff Road in Hornsea too.
People were waving to each other too.
