Out of the frying pan and into the fire
« on: February 17, 2020, 03:11:13 PM »
Have on order from Mighty Lancer the Master Box set with a lady on a motorbike ( this bike is not included in the set) and several zombies.  Decided to have the lady sitting on a wall trying to reach a safe house - only its not, hence the title.
Also decided that the body from the ambulance used in the last zombie model - being a good Yorkshireman - never throw out anything, and make use of all you can - will be turned into a shed alongside the house.

Now for the windows in the building.
Should I get a plastic/resin set already made and drill holes in the MDF to fit, much to easy.
Should I made rectangular window frames and drill out the MDF, again much to easy.
So its round top windows - holes drilled and cut to shape just need a little cleaning up. The window frames will now need a jig making to get them all the same size - hohoho what a FUN hobby we have.

First photo is a banner to be hung from the top windows.
Second photo is the one that I did not attach to the last post - brain turning to mush again OR have the zombies have got at me.

The shed ( its the back of the ambulance from the last project) has now been cut at the bottom of the planks to show decay.

The skulls have been placed on a diamond backing to be placed either side of the door.

Hi Msea,
What great building skills, not just ordinary windows, windows with an arched top!
You could be the one man solution to the housing crisis at this rate of build?, Has Boris been in touch?
Looking good as always,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

Thank you Kevin.
Shed now has a coat of brown then hairspray and then pastel blue on top. When dry will start to remove some of the blue

Some more work on the shed.
First time I have used the Vallejo Liquid Mask - found it excellent to work with, much easier than using tape to mask off the metal sections on the roof.
