The choice is limitless, well only limited by your imagination - so no limit.
I find the available information limiting.
I found a really good site for my tractor, it's just gone offline? Sods Law as usual.

There seemed to be two choice (for me, anyway) for the treads, either the green stuff or plastic strip.
I was mixing some green stuff for the rear axles as they are sort of conical. and thought I would try some on the tyres, it failed, stuck to me too much, so it will be thin plastic strips.
Here is the engine and rear axle so far.

So I went with the thin plastic strip for the tyre treads.

Hi Dave, how long did it take you to do the tyre treads? They are amazing.
You have certainly given me some enthusiasm to have a go at a diorama sometime. Just working upto an idea.

I'm not sure really Chris, time just disappears when I start modelling, probably 3 hours, but that is a guess.

Not much modelling today, busy down the allotment.
My reference website is up and running again - breathes a sigh of relief.

More detail added to the engine and chassis, levers, pedals, throttle, dial, steering wheel, exhaust and air intake.
This is a petrol tractor.
I once worked on a farm, as a raw 16 year old lad, they had a Ferguson tractor that started on petrol and then you switched to T.V.O (tractor vapourising oil - paraffin), the exhaust was vertical and should have had a flap over the exhaust to stop water getting in. I was told to get the tractor, and did not want to seem the raw lad, so I did not ask about it. On switching on and turning the engine over a cloudy of oily water came out the exhaust and covered me - much to the amusement of the other workers.
Once you got it running on petrol and the engine was warm you switched over to TVO.
Callow youth - served me right.
