You %$£$&^**** now I can't get that "Klingons on the starboard bow" out of my head  - its a real earworm song.
That's life Jim but not as we know it!

Now got that song in my head all day today as well -- thank you a bunch - hohoho.  Now going out into the garden again while its sunny, singing in my head.

Just been to the allotment and done some digging.
Still lots to do.
Picked leeks, parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower.
Here is my latest model.
This is a white metal and resin kit.
Not strictly used on airfields but it is an ATV.
Lets say it is on loan from the NFS or AFS for general station use.

I think now it is onto a fire tender, this will be a scratch built streamlined one, about 100 were in use from 1935-36 and so I presume some would still be around in 1940.
It will be mostly guesswork, using a few photographs and the dimensions of the Crossley chassis used to make them.
Here is one of the photos just to give you a flavour of the beast.

I have finished my AEC Matador, here it is with commercial wheels.
A Merlin engine under the tarpaulin.

Hi Zak,
A very nice build and from scratch too!
Shame it wasn't a 'Kestrel' engine rather than a 'Merlin', the Kestrel being more well known, but agreed the Merlin powered the Spitfire and Hurricane, so I suppose that is to expected, Neil knows what he wants.
Nice finish, and a great replica, thumbs up from me!   :)
Cheers,
Bigkev

In truth it is the wrong mark of Merlin, hence the tarpaulin.
