GERMAN DESTROYER Z39 IN 1:350
« on: May 19, 2016, 02:36:09 PM »
Got this kit last year at Darlington and started whilst waiting for the sea to dry on Fort Worth, what with home improvements and other stuff, modelling has taken a back seat for a while so not much progress but now I'm getting back into the groove so to speak.
I feel as though I've lost my way a bit so I'm just going to chuck it together with gay abandon and hope for the best. Here's some pics to show progress to date.

Hi Haddock,
Great to see you back!
Look forward to seeing how this big destroyer looks in your hands, I bet..........Awesome!
I'm suffering the modelling blues of lately, away on holiday, now replacing front door covering, painting, gardening, etc.
Hope to be in my groove soon.
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

Not a great deal of activity at the moment folks but here's some progress. The rails are generic and I'm not too fond of 'em but it's needs must. It's this gay abandon thingy.

Nearly there folks. Main and quarter-deck railings fitted, just the after island to do.......which is proving to be a right pig. If they look a bit wonky, it's 'cos they're not fixed yet ( paint then fix and touch up ).

Hi Haddock,
I've learnt something with this one. Shape the rails to desired shape, then paint, then attach, then touch up.
All is clear now, I think...................................
Nice work,
Bigkev

I think it could be finished, with the exception of mounting on a base, here's some pictures.
