Post-Apocalyptic World 2121
« on: May 14, 2016, 09:59:50 AM »
I must stop watching so many films - have just finished Mad Max Fury Road and have decided to try some car modelling.
Being interested in the way Disney design items,  they allways have a FULL back story to base any item on. So have sorted this out, will just need Kevin and Zak to choose an area next meeting.
The cars are poundshop - three for £1 - so could add them to my model for under £20 next meeting for the comp - or is it just one model only ??????
The car has been stripped down and wheel arch extenders added, seat belts and wide wheels made. The strange frame is to allow the car to have extra ground clearance.
I think I need to get out more.

Hi Msea,
Different tack for you.
Yes, you do need to get out more...................................or should it be 'should be locked up?'
Wait to see how this turns out, I'm sure it will be your usual interesting and 'Fun' side to modelling.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

I would go for the "locked up"
Have decided to make 2 cars at the same time - both different.
Side air pods made for car 2 and this one has an open top. Both have different screens made for the open front window, first one a bit of garden mesh the second has flat bars.

very interesting, I have always been a Mad Max fan, I enjoyed the latest as well evn though the reviews were not that good.
I have always been into the post apocalyptic scene.
Ever read the Amtrak Wars?
A guy at Huddesrfield had built  I had always wanted to build some models from this, but the drive was never there.

Don't worry Kevin , Zak is on the right track.
Better not let Pen-Pusher read this - or we will all be in trouble.

Surely this is what the site is for, a bit of banter and an interchange of thoughts, however vague they are!
Post apocalyptic could easily be WW1 and Steam Punk ( or even Diesel Punk) could be the way forward.
My imagination just isn't up to it.

As you all know -- my head is full of very strange things -- so we will see how it goes.
BUT before Haddock starts on at me, I am still working on my ship models -- this is just a side track !!!

Air inlet made but seems a touch on the large size so have made a smaller one.
Exhaust pipes also added to the back end of the car.

Back into the £1 shop and I found another box with different cars in - so never refusing a bargain, I now have 6 cars to play with.
Decided to make the truck with extended sides.
