Trip to Doncaster Aeroventure Museum.
« on: July 28, 2016, 12:37:32 PM »
Many thanks to Steve and Neil for organising the trip. The fish and chips were excellent.
10 club members looked around the museum and were duly impressed. Some even spent some hard earned cash on models.
It is a great pity that the museum is not better sign posted from the M18.
I am sure some photos will follow.

By Heck,
That last photo is a bit scary!

Anyway, in keeping with our meeting at Doncaster, I would like to put some details of their forthcoming Open Cockpit Weekend on the 6th and 7th August.

The Museum is having a special event where the public can see all the usual attractions but with the added benefit of additional cockpits being opened, to be sat in and experienced.
Apart from the usual exhibits, they will be having additional cockpits on loan from other collections, so a great opportunity to experience more than usual in one place.

Please see the Museum flyers with this post, or visit their website for more details.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

Cheers for posting this lot - I was unable to attend at fairly short notice due to the usual family commitment stuff!!!  Terry (Kiteman) is over this Friday so the Open Cockpit weekend may be of interest to him  :)
