Was just thinking about the good old days BH ( thats Before Haddock if you are not sure ) when I was happy to just fasten a bit of thin thread round a metal post and stick the flag onto this. Now its fasten a thin thread onto the first of 2 chain links and then fasten this round the post and pass the flag rope through the second chain link and fasten them down.
All I can say is, thanks Haddock, it takes longer and the language is a bit more nautical but the end result is much improved.
