The engine looks like an Argus type, though as pictured upside down.
Probably, miles off the target, but it is only my first stab.

Kev, you really are a wise man, your knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I tried to throw you off with the upside down engine but that didn`t work. Well done again. I can see that I will have to dig really deep in my stash for the next mystery model, when I have this one finished.
Yes it`s the BF108 Taifun in 1:48 from Eduard (Weekend Edition). I am building it straight from the box so no extras here. I want to practice my airbrushing skills some more.
