A Blast from the past
« on: February 16, 2013, 11:19:06 AM »
 8)
i came across these photos whist searching for some plans for Gerry.
These must be from an early visit to North Shields.
Cyril was into Tanks, Kevin into Chipmunks and I was building helicopters, the guy many of you will not know is Malcolm, he built Polish aircraft, buses and cars in 1/32 scale.
Hope you find this slightly interesting.
Cheers
Dave

slightly different blast from the past here ,an old aiko kit i purchased at 'uddersfield for a mere £2 "nice one" reliably told me this was the origional TAMIYA name .im sure he is right ,a very knowledgable man our cyril.anyway its seems a shame to build it as its in mint nick and is a museum piece there is a tiny tube of japanese glue in it <unopened> and a postcard in japanese .i wonder if i put a stamp on it ,it would get to its origional destination?

answers on here please <not on a postcard>

Hi Geoff,

The glue will have probably evaporated or what ever it does over time.

But it does go to show you a bargain and a talking point can be had for very little spend.

Enjoy Grasshopper!!
