Maritime competition
« on: December 28, 2012, 09:57:45 PM »
Is the maritime competition still proceeding as planned? I appreciate Peter has been dogged with ill health of late, wishing him a speedy recovery, and not been able to attend the last couple of club meets. Assuming the competition is still going ahead, and electing to enter a model myself, when will the judging be?

Regards Tony

Hi Bridlufc,

As far as I know the competition is still going ahead and was planned to be held at our February Meeting.

I shall contact Peter before next meeting to confirm that this right.

I have the Trophy, and will bring it along at the appropriate meeting.

I hope my next is always better

I have some information regarding this, I was going to raise it at the next meeting. Peter rang me before the last meeting, but the meeting had too many other things going on.
Please contact me personally if you need to know before then.

Hi Bridlufc

The Maritime competition is going ahead. It will be judged at 'Our Show'  on 1st September 2013.

I have not heard from Peter since I forwarded him some more simpler Criteria and Rules for all members to follow. I presume he is still out of action, and unable to reply.

Therefore as Club Secretary, I will take res[ponsibility and get on with it I shall pass Dave M, the simpler Criteria for him to Publish in the Newsletter,  and I will also post on the website the same so those who can access the website and use it can see what we are aiming for.

I have the Trophy, and will bring it along on show day.

7. The Trophy will be awarded to the winner and will be held by be member until the next competition.
8. The members name will be engraved on the Trophy for that relevant year.
9. A member will be allowed to enter more than one entry if desired, but may only be eligible for the Trophy based on one model presentation (rather than a collection)
10. The judges decision is final.

Model Criteria.

1. Any Scale

Thanks for clarifying the criteria Kev, my entry should hopefully clear the specifications required.
