Looking very good Howard. The metallic green works well. What meterial is the covering on the horse - it looks excellent.

As ever your paintwork amazes me. Even your failures are better than my best efforts.

Couple of pics of not much progress.
These two are becoming a bit of a challenge. they were basically intended
to be quick and easy, then I saw those things on the tinternet, and so did you lot.
posting them may well have been a mistake!
Anyroadup, the Saracen is basically working from the legs up,(head nearly finished though)
The lighter blue skirt ? thing is awaiting some form of pattern being applied, but then bow cases and quivers will
hide it, so so it will be a bit of free practice.
The horse white/ shading  is a lot more subtle than previous and looks better for it. Not sure it shows up on the photos,
the next stage on the horse is the black over the flesh colour undercoat.
Tomorrow may well be the blue pattern. Then the big cape on his back....NO hiding that!
Good (hopefully) couple of months to go yet!

A few pics of the current state of play:-
The horse is well on way, the "black/ white" line needs tidying where some of
it crept under the masking! ( Get me! masking! Will be using Rattle Cans next!)
Maybe should have got Chris to do it? The highlights need a bit of attention also.
The Templar cloak is only U/Coat at the moment....more shading white!

I had a go at a pattern on the Saracen, see pics, and learnt a few things:
 1 its difficult !!
 2 I hadn't thought it through properly...nothing new there!
I was painting the dark line over the lighter "base" ,so I was painting the line and trying to define the shape of the
patterns at each side, effectively (not!) trying to define 3 things at once.
Anyroadup,,although it is far from good most of it is hidden when complete, so it will do.
So I will have another go on the cloak on his back,  this time painting a pattern, on piece at a time over the base
It is, also, less sculptured so that should help.
I hope that made sense

Additionally, you may notice that his right foot is missing... but that is a tale for another day!

As always, great attention to the details.
Not foot loose and fancy free then?
Super work.
