Started a new project today and these are part of the kit.
Any Ideas?

They look like something from an Eagle Transporter from Space 1999 but I'll put money on that they're not!!

I think that it is the Tamiya P-38 Lightning in 1/48.
A favourite aircraft of mine.

Super kit but you have to follow the instructions carefully as there are quite a lot of alternative parts which need sorting, ie 3 instrument panels!

Yes, just for weight. One in the nose and the other two at the forward end of each nacelle.

Itís fair because the 3 quite sizeable ball bearings are included in the kit! I havenít come across any other kit that includes feature. Tamiya have, in the past, provided cast shapes for balance weights.
