That's why your brain cell, keeps falling out of your head.
Would you like some 'Milliput' to fix it??

Well here is my first diorama with much inspiration from Dave and Martin.  It has been quite different modelling bits I have not done before.  I have enjoyed doing it. I have one or two ideas for future diorams now.  If anyone can offer improvements I'm all ears.

Yes I thought about putting some vegetation on but would have been out of place. All the photos of this type of subject show lots and lots of bare earth.

Yes Chris all the photos I have seen have been just mud/soil - you could have done a lighter shade inside. With lots of people standing/walking on the mud , it would have made it a lot flatter and changed the colour a little - BUT i still think your diorama is great.

The odd Coke can and cardboard box of rations, a machine gun.
Like you it always looks red soil/ mud, the odd bit of vegetation growing by the sandbags maybe?

I did think about adding some grass round the bottom of the sandbags - modification A maybe.
There tended to be no rubbish (sorry Martin) round the helos - could be ingested by the engines.

As you know I use oil paint and there is a Burnt Umber(Green Shade).
I use this as a wash over bare earth and it adds a bit of interest to
the ground.
