Title: Zombie Shark
Post by: MSea on April 11, 2020, 04:17:30 PM
Got this on line from Mighty Lancer - rang him a couple of days ago and it has arrived today -- thanks Nathan.
The other 2 photos show the bits and bobs I have cut out of MDF, metal, acrylic and an old wardrobe door to make the shark house, to keep the zombie shark from attacking you lot next time we can have a meeting.

Back to the model -- some rocks and sand on the base and a brass rod fitted to the shark so he can be fitted to the back board.  If you are in the water with this shark - look out , how would YOU feel if some idiot rammed a big brass bar into YOU????

Good to know that Nathan/Mighty Lancer is still operating and providing a mail order service...
What cruel timing that he was about to open his new shop when the pandemic struck.

As for the Zombie Shark...
... well, what can one say, it's SO MSea!

Talking of doing domestic jobs... I actually washed the car this morning.
That's how bored I'm getting!!!

Decided on the name plate it will read - " Zombie Shark - or as we call him Martin "
The background and base now has a coat of paint. Now to make some kelp to put in front of the blue background and to have the shark coming out of it.
Title: Re: Zombie Shark

Don't forget to include Stingray( for me) and Aqua Marina for Bill.

Did not think this would have happened - all of you adding bits of your childhood into one of my models.
If I had known would have made the base twice as big, think I will add lots of film/TV posters round the outside of the base to keep you all happy and ME out of trouble.

Back to the model -- a dry run with the shark and the background.

Hi Msea,
Hats off to the Kelp manufacturers of Walkington, (other sites are available).
I'm sure you will 'weed out' any problems quickly, will we see a wave of kelp in the diorama? ...or will it only be your shaking hand.

Will have to have a lot of kelp to cover up the bad paint job on the backboard and the metal rod holding the shark.

Does it die if you shoot it between the eyes? And if it bites another animal like a seal, do you get a Zombie seal?? And, and does it make a moaning noise???

and does it swim as fast as a non-infected shark or does it just stumble though the water in a rather unsteady gait like it's human counterparts?

Title: Re: Zombie Shark

Not had much time for modelling BUT have a couple of answers for Andy and Wizz.
Yes Andy it will die if you shoot it between the eyes but think it would have to be a dum dum or exploding bullet to remove the head.
Yes Andy if it bites a seal the seal will turn into a zombie seal - unless the zombie shark eats ALL of the seal for its dinner
Its my zombie shark so YES Andy it will make a moaning sound.
Yes Wizz it stumbles through the water like a normal human zombie BUT seeing as a normal shark swims at  about 25mph and can do burst of 35mph and a normal human swims at about 3mph max, unless you are an Olympic swimmer and can get up to 6mph -- then even at a stumbling way through the water it will still catch you up.
Before you say it Zak - we will all be glad when lockdown is over and I can get out more --- ho

Oooops, apologies for being "rude" earlier.
I hope I haven’t upset anyone?
That's the trouble with double entendres, it's just those with dirty minds that take the "rude" meaning and are offended.
You know who you are!
Zak e-mailed me direct to explain we have to 'moderate' our language on the website...
... so I won't mention that Tom the cabin boy was also called................... Master B****
I’ll be more careful/reserved in future.

I have the same trouble when looking through the camera's eye MSea.  In one way, it lets you see what needs a little more attention but it can also serve to demoralise if you let it.  We have to keep reminding ourselves it's just a bit of fun don't we.
