Post by: zak on June 07, 2019, 10:20:41 AM
Hope to see some of you there, feel free to drop in or come along and do some modelling if you feel like it.
Bring some models.

Otherwise just come for a chat and banter.

I am going to have a go at the Roden 1/35 Holt 75 tractor.
This will complement my scratch built one and my resin one.

Hi Zak and All,

Blooming Heck!, looks like I missed a great day. Hopefully we will do another one again, and this time I will make sure that no family commitments impinge on my attendance.

Well supported, and I bet each and everyone got a great deal out of the day, knowledge, information, social interaction and the always present good humoured banter.

I'm off to go and sulk now...……..!

Good job Guys! (not forgetting Sharon)

If ever I needed any inspiration to get modelling again, this was it.  What a brilliant idea and an extremely successful day - well worth all the efforts put in by those who organised it.  Many thanks to Haddock too for the most informative tutorial on etched brass railings.

Same time next week then? :D

Just to give the DOWN SIDE of the day - because I was enjoying myself so much and not concentrating on what I was doing,  nicked my fingers TWICE with a new scalpel blade --  but it was worth it for the excellent day.

looking at the latest posts on line - after Haddocks excellent demo on etch brass, more are looking at doing this.
So would it be a good idea for Bill to look at the price of some "straight jackets" with the club logo on them for when we all go mad trying to get to just half of Haddocks level ???????

I did not realise that we were that kind of club.

If this website wasn't moderated, I'd say something like "b*gger me backwards with a pitchfork" but I shall refrain and instead issue a warm welcome and hearty greetings to Biggles!

Even if you can't post pictures, it's a great way of keeping in touch.  Niceness.

Biggles flies undone - or at least flying on the web site. We MIGHT even get a photo in the future, which will be great.
Now you are on the web site you can see how I have used your photo to frighten Zombies and also punish Marvin -- guess I will pay for them in the future hohoho
