Title: Hello Sailor
Post by: MSea on September 10, 2017, 07:38:19 PM
Found the 2 sailors in the back of the draw - had started them in the dim and distant past but changed my mind and stripped the paint from them.
No idea who or what they are but must be from the 1970 or 1980. They are 55mm tall
First photo just primed and the second one with basic block colour started.  The last shot is a wood floor base for them to stand on.

Phrases like "Avast Behind" come to mind.

There could be others but I'll be moderated.

Unusual....you have painted them in authentic colours! Why not in pink and then you could really say "Hello Sailor"

Thanks for the idea Kiteman -- just getting the new paint out now -- and how about a bit of RUST so Haddock doesn't say they are pristine and like yachts.

Well back to a little modelling at last.
Figures positioned on the base and a little more detail added, next to finish the faces and uniform.
The sharp eyed may have noticed the small change in position (look for the filled in holes on the base) when fitted in position the swords looked wrong.

I would never want to cross swords with you.
