Post by: Kiteman on April 30, 2017, 03:20:39 PM
Hi

I am desperately looking for a Willis Jeep in scale 1:76. Have any of you got such a thing in your stash or do you know someone who has??

Thanks

Built or un-built that is the question?
You are welcome to this one if it helps, sorry about the photo - rushed.
It is an Airfix one.

Many thanks Zak.

The Jeep will be going onto a diorama from a local event here in Havixbeck from 1944 when Montgomery was here for a short while. The Tommy`s set up a radio station on a local high point using a tower at the top of a hill. Aparently the Brits had comms with London via microwave telephone from this point. This tower (Loginusturm) still stands and is today a cafe. Wizzell and family have climbed the steps up to the top of this thing. It`s a bit of local history and something that the Havixbeck Modellclub are involved in. Here a piccie of the tower today
