Had to work outside my model room, so started on this project from one of the Osprey books.
Have had this in mind for a while and started at one time on this in 1/35 scale, but never got much beyond cutting a bit for the front wall in plaster board.
Decided to do this now in 1/72 scale and made a card model to sort out size and position, then cut MDF to slot together for the inside sections and made the outer walls to fit onto this.
We will see how it goes -- and before Zak reminds, me I shall put the roof tiles on the correct way round this time -- I hope.

Looks interesting project, nice to talk to you last night at meeting.
As for the tiles, if you could put them on in correct orientation it would say you having any 'Msealeaks'

No Kiteman - just found the picture and thought "got to do that"

I know Wizzel will ask how did you make the house -- so just for you Wiz.
The inner wall and the 5 floors have been slot cut so they fasten together like the inside of a card box to carry wine bottles. The front and back wall have had slots cut into them so they can be added to the inner section later.
With luck I can fasten the inner wall and 5 floors together and work on the decoration and figures and then put the outer walls onto the finished block.
The windows have been cut in the outer walls and doors and access holes in the inner sections.
Next job fasten the inner block into one solid section - we shall see how it goes.

I did something similar many years ago - a model of Rourke's Drift out of with MDF and made the thatched roof out of my Dad's car washing brush....that he hadn't actually thrown out. OUCH!!! No pictures sadly and I shot it to bits with my air rifle and blew it up with fireworks in the end too!

Yes a dolls house shop in York closed several years ago and I purchased several sheets with small patterns on them - always on the look out for things.

Well back on line after trying to sort out new camera, new comp and an analogue mind in a digital age.
The outer walls painted and then individual bricks picked out with different colours.

Some work done at last on the figures the last shot is a figure to climb up the ladders inside the house that allow access from floor to floor - the ladders are scratch made.

Hi Zak just two strips of plastic drilled out and brass bar through the holes for cross bits.

Floors made from card then scored and colored with pencil crayons -- holes cut to match the holes in the floor. Tree trunks made from plastic tube and old tea leaves for support under the mortar in the roof - and finally a bench/table for the anti tank gun in the cellar.

Figures added to house. The strange object on the top is the start of the roof beams to support the tiles ( I hope I get them on the correct way this time or Zak will take great pleasure in pointing this out AGAIN )

My friend Oggy has asked if he is in this model - so have told him he is one of the wounded in the basement being looked after by the nurse.
This has made him happy BUT i now have to make a 1/72 scale bike so that he knows it is him.

Not modest -- just know my place in the pecking order. I don't know what you mean about my imagination - it only comes from the dark side of my mind.
On another topic some more work done on the roof , and before you ask Zak -- yes I have put in a drain gully for the water coming off the roof.

Only wish I had your imagination and build skill. Wait a minute, can I re-think the bit about imagination, I've remembered I have been told before be careful for what you wish for........................

Still a bit to do -- roof tiles on one half / bike for my friend Oggy / ground work either side of the building to make from foam / other small bits and bobs / also a wood base to present it with and name plaque.
If I was Zak it would be finished in about 20mins.

Base made for the house just need a bit of packaging and some filler for the ends to turn this into the ground outside the house.

Filler added and then a coat of brown paint (in case anything drops off and you see the underneath) then some glue and green tea.

No idea at all -- but the tea I have has not changed over quite a long time.
The tea bag was used and then dried in the sun before storage, if that helps.

I prefer Typhoo, but then, I am a heathen!

I am more of a heathen than you - I don't drink tea.
I have some green tea and also some ordinary tea that I use for soil. Like the foil from wine bottle tops -- "she who must be obeyed"" drinks it for me.

Beetroot would be more appropriate I think. And maybe a Russian peasant woman picking it to make a big pot of Borsch for the brave defenders of The Motherland.

Very very good Zak and Kitemen "Spudlova" and "Tatty"
The roof is now on and just a few bits and bobs to finish.
My friend Oggy is happy -- he has a nurse to look after him and his bike is near by -- he is not even bothered about the head wound.
