Title: 1:35 MiniArt Cabriolet B ( German car type 170V)
Post by: zak on July 13, 2020, 10:51:38 AM
Here are photos of the box art and the contents before and after unpacking.
The moulding looks good and the parts are well packed and presented.
This is essentially a Mercedes.
I thought it would fit on Coble Landing as some posh person visiting the seaside, or the works manager perhaps.

Don't like the look of the bloke with the hat on, looks a bit suspicious to me, could be a foreign spy.
Haddock.

He looks a bit like someone who'd sit at the back in a Model Club!!!
Are you going to print your own number plates or do you have some in the spares box? Did Bridlington, if you're setting it (fictitiously) there have it's own registration code, as in HE for Barnsley?

Hi Chris,
I'm always astounded by the depth of knowledge amongst our members.
Do you know the six numbers on Saturday???
I want to be able to model, without the interference of work!
Hopefully,
Bigkev

I remembered after that Scarborough was/is AT. some would put ** before that!!! Sorry Kev can't do the numbers for you, the Reg thing was a blast from my youth when there were fewer cars. And no Martin they didn't have red flags!!!

I'm interested to see how this model turns out. I have been tempted to do one of the Miniart vehicle and figure sets. Unfortunately they are not in 1/48 to go with the Ju52 that I want to add to the BoB Movie set.
Was it an internet buy?

We have been visited by various family members and so I had to move a lot of my stuff so they could stay.

Yes, but we know its there!
The exhaust is made up of 9 pieces, usually it is a couple, here it is just to show you, some etched brass as well.
The moulding is great, but it seems that they are trying to make the model be as many pieces as possible.
The photos show:
The parts.
Parts assembled.
Parts on the car

Looking good, but don't you just love kits where they break items down to multiple parts when two would suffice!!!!!?

This is the most filling I have done for some time, lots of ejector pins and marks to sort out.
They will not be seen once the model is completed.

Funny, I try but am easily side tracked, not sure I understand the concept either, it eats into modelling time.

It's coming along nicely, will it be just out of the showroom or dirtied up a bit? I also don't understand the concept of tidy when modelling!!!

This does feel a slow build, but I am making progress, in between pea picking and harvesting potatoes, picking courgettes and French beans as well as cabbage and cauliflowers.

Not really a very nice place for Flash Harry and his car.

I think he may need the tractor to get out of the mud!
